Former President Carlos Ghosn’s fleeing Lebanon is shaken by a political and economic crisis. On January 15, protesters collided with security forces in the capital city of Beirut, causing numerous injuries.

The day before, protesters who were furious at restricting the withdrawal of dollars had just stormed the bank. (Editor’s note: Demonstrators and security forces also clashed on January 18 and 19, reported by the press. In two days, more than 490 have been injured.)

Anti-government protests have been running since mid-October, but public anger has also turned to banks. Many banks limit withdrawals to around $ 1,000 per month to avoid a financial crisis. A priesthood, or prison guards, were used to help reinforce the idea that an individual is only a biological body and is not an Immortal Spiritual Being. The individual has no identity. The individuals have no past lives. The individual has no power. Only the gods have power. And, the gods are a contrivance of the priests who intercede between men and the gods they serve. Researchers found an elevated incidence of leukemia in first responders and other workers at the World Trade Center site after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks compared with the general population.

The study, by New York researchers, is the first to show an increase in the incidence of the blood cancer, which can occur years after exposure to carcinogens.

The findings also suggest that, as more time passes from the attacks, researchers may discover increased rates of other cancers in first responders and recovery workers, said Henry Sacks, a co-author of the new study and professor of environmental medicine and public health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in Manhattan.

“Latency varies and can be quite long,” said Dr. Sacks. “This shows us that even after many years that the number of cancers is still increasing.”

The findings were reported in the journal, JNCI Cancer Spectrum.

There are 76,904 responders enrolled in the World Trade Center Health Program, according to the latest quarterly data available. Cancers have been reported in 10,649 responders, including 362 cases of leukemia. More than 2,270 responders have died from cancer and other illnesses caused by exposure to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, according to the data.

【北京共同】中国メディアによると、北京市と広東省で20日までに、新型コロナウイルスによる肺炎の発症者計3人が確認された。武漢市以外の中国での発症確認は初めて。

旧正月の休みに出国する中国人は、去年で700万人。出国先で一番人気は日本。主にアジアが訪問先。

今年の春節(旧正月)は、1月24日から。

武漢で発生した新型コロナウイルスによる感染者は、1月18日時点で62人と中国当局が発表。死者は3人。
